Prof. Mohamed Elhag

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Elhag obtained his Ph.D. degree from an Interdepartmental Program, School of Agricultural Sciences, University of Thessaly, Greece in Water Resources Management. Professor Elhag is currently a tenured professor of Remote Sensing at the Department of Water Resources, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. Professor Elhag is a vising professor at the Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth (RADI), Chinese Academy of Science (CAS), China, also a visiting professor at the Department of Applied Geosciences, Faculty of Science, German University of Technology, Oman. He is the author of several articles published in reputed journals and is a member of different international working groups related to his background. Prof. Elhag teaches a wide variety of Remote Sensing courses for under and postgraduate students.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amin Beiranvand Pour

Amin Beiranvand Pour is a leading scientist and internationally established researcher in the field of geological remote sensing, geospatial science and mineral exploration. He was listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University for the years 2018-2024. He is one of the most cited researchers in the field of geodata and geological remote sensing worldwide (ranked #1 and 2 in Google Scholar). He is also the world's leading author in Remote Sensing, ASTER, Mineral Exploration topics in SCOPUS, and is ranked as the #1 top scientist for years 2023 to 2025 in Earth Sciences in Malaysia. He has an extensive academic background in remote sensing, geospatial science, geology and mineral exploration. He has been the project leader of numerous research projects using remote sensing technology in arid and semi-arid regions, Antarctica, Arctic and tropical areas. He has published more than 220 research papers and 5 books in the field of remote sensing, geospatial science and mineral exploration.

Assoc. Prof. Dimitrios A. Karras

National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece

Dr. Dimitrios A. Karras, Associate Professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) in the Department of General Science (Faculty of Science), specializes in Digital and Intelligent Systems & Signal Processing, with additional academic appointments as Adjunct Associate Professor at BIHER University (India), GLA University (India), and EPOKA/CIT Universities (Albania). He obtained his Diploma/M.Sc. (1985) and Ph.D. (1995, with honors) in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), followed by research collaborations with German and Greek institutions (1990-2004). His distinguished career includes faculty positions at Sterea Hellas Institute of Technology (2004-2018) and Hellenic Open University (2002-2010). An internationally recognized scholar, Dr. Karras has published extensively (94+ refereed journal papers, 15+ edited books, 191+ conference papers) in intelligent/distributed systems, pattern recognition, signal/image processing, neural networks, and bioinformatics, with 3,395+ non-self citations (Google Scholar, H-index 26). He has delivered 170+ invited/keynote lectures and serves as Editor-in-Chief for multiple journals (IJSISE, IJITIS, SPAST Reports) while holding editorial roles at Elsevier, IET, and Hindawi publications. His research integrates computational intelligence with applications in biomedical systems, sustainable technologies, and secure communications, evidenced by his leadership in 100+ international conference committees and sustained academic impact (Scopus H-index 17, ResearchGate top 5% ranking).
